FoodTech Qld 2016 Secures Impressive Line Up of Seminars

May 30, 2016 FoodTech News

FoodTech Qld, the new and only trade event for the food and beverage manufacturing industry in Queensland, is fast approaching and the line up of exceptional exhibitors and seminar content is proving the inaugural event is not one to miss.

In addition to over 120 exhibitors on board for the event, FoodTech Qld organisers are proud to announce a timetable of seminars has been confirmed. Led by industry experts, sessions will discuss trending topics and pertinent issues, with additional sessions to be added.

“What we’re seeing is a keen interest from food manufacturing and processing businesses in Queensland and Northern NSW to engage with each other” says Peter Petherick, Event Director for FoodTech Qld.

“We’re aware that up to 60% of Queensland’s food processors are rural, so having a dedicated event that’s worth visitors’ time across relevance, expertise on offer, and insights from the industry is important. The seminars are an added element to an already stellar line up of new products and technology on offer.”

Seminars will focus on a variety of topics relevant to the food manufacturing and processing industry. Topics include the importance of pH in food management, the issue of energy efficiency, industry technology developments on infrastructure, and the increasing demand for food traceability across both industry and consumers.

One seminar that is highly anticipated is the exclusive presentation prepared for FoodTech Qld by market research experts Mintel. Their presentation ‘2016 Mintel Food & Drink Trends – Ingredients to Watch’ will showcase hero and emerging ingredients that have made a big impact on product innovation in recent years.

Another session, led by enterprise resource planners Syspro, will discuss how the Industrial Internet of Things is the next wave of innovation impacting the way the world connects and optimises machines, customers and suppliers. This seminar, along with several others, will provide cutting edge insight and time sensitive advice to Queensland’s food manufacturing industry.

FTAA (Food Technology Association of Australia) will be hosting their own line up of seminar topics on Tuesday 28 June – a fantastic opportunity to learn from the major industry body for the Australian food industry. FTAA’s topics include the global cocoa supply and CSIRO’s session discussing innovation.

All seminar sessions are free to attend.
